Frequently asked questions
Can I have my legs 3D-scanned after an injury or surgery?
We do not recommend 3D scanning until your leg has fully recovered and any swelling has subsided. Swelling changes the actual shape and circumference of the leg. Once the swelling disappears, the brace may no longer fit correctly, potentially causing movement, instability, or excessive pressure. To manufacture properly fitting braces, the leg must be in a stable condition that reflects its normal anatomical shape. The appropriate timing for scanning after an injury or surgery should be discussed with your treating physician.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship our knee braces throughout Europe and to countries outside Europe. Shipping availability, delivery times, and costs are confirmed when placing an order.
Do I need to visit your facility for 3D scanning if I live far away?
No. You can arrange 3D scanning in your local area and email us the scan file. Before production begins, we will review the scan to ensure that it is suitable for manufacturing your custom braces. On-site scanning at your location may also be arranged by prior agreement.
How long does production take?
The estimated production time is 6–8 weeks from the date of scanning at our facility or confirmation that your submitted 3D scan is suitable for production.
How should I care for my knee braces?
- Dry your braces thoroughly after each use.
- Do not leave them damp for extended periods or store them in a closed bag without ventilation.
- Remove and wash the inner padding when necessary, following the manufacturer’s care instructions.
- Periodically maintain the hinge mechanism using a compatible PTFE-based lubricant, if specified in the maintenance instructions.
- Treat leather components with appropriate leather care products.
Can knee extension be limited if I still experience pain when fully straightening my leg after an injury?
Yes. Our knee braces feature an adjustable extension-limiting mechanism. The suitability and specific settings of this adjustment must be determined individually, taking into account the condition of your knee and the recommendations of your healthcare professional.
Can I purchase spare parts or have my braces serviced after the warranty expires?
Yes. You can purchase the necessary spare parts and perform the specified maintenance procedures yourself. Alternatively, you can send your braces to us for repairs, servicing, or preparation for the upcoming season.
